Southern Girl Cooking

1 note

Oh yum! I love noodles, cheese, and red gravy. Carbs are my favorite. I like lasagna, but I don’t love it because of the meat. So ziti is the best thing! My mom hasn’t made this in forever! I was expecting to have no dinner when I got home and when I saw that on the oven I was pretty giddy! This is so good and yet so easy! We use to make this all the time, I haven’t had this in years it feels like!
Baked Ziti
1 pound of penne pasta
1/2 to 3/4 of a Ragu jar
8 cups of Mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup of parmesan cheese
Italian seasonings (basil, oregano, thyme, garlic powder)

Preheat oven to 350.
Cook and Drain noodles.
Add ragu sauce. Add italian seasonings. I mean, we always just eyeball it, use your best judgement. Melt about half of the mozzarella cheese. Add all of the parmesan cheese.
In an oven safe dish, spray with pam, pour in noodle mixture. Top with the rest of the cheese.
Bake for 25 minutes.
